Annual Conference

That's an Annual Conference - held once a year in July in a gorgeous destination city — and with hundreds of sister city supporters, government officials, and sister city leaders from around the globe. It's a time for networking, sharing, learning, and fun.
2009 Annual Conference - Belfast, Northern Ireland
July 29-August 1, 2009
This will be a historic event since it is the first time in our history that Sister Cities International has hosted its annual conference outside the United States. This year’s theme, “Building Enduring Peace after Conflict” will be the focus of our three-day conference, which will explore how municipalities and communities can work together in matters of conflict resolution through community and cultural diplomacy. There will also be sessions on economic development, youth, cultural diplomacy, as well as many other topics.
This event will be a tremendous networking and education opportunity for officials and citizens involved in twinning and sister city programs all throughout Europe. In addition, this conference is a great opportunity to have your international counterparts "meet you in Belfast" and to introduce them to the Annual Conference.
